The Friends Café is a joint venture between 12th Leeds Boys Brigade and Tingley Methodist Church. The monthly café is open to everyone although we decided to run it to give people with dementia and their carers a chance to have lunch, to relax and meet and talk to others.
The café is run by volunteers including young people from the BB and Junior Church; they have all been trained as Dementia Friends. Everyone working in the kitchen has Food Hygiene certificates and attends regular training.
We want to make sure that when people come to the café they have a good time and look forward to the next one. You can help us by telling us what you would like to happen.
Food and drink are provided free of charge, however if you would like to make a donation this will be used to keep the café running and purchase new resources.
