Find here a prayer for every day in February

1st February
Loving God, we pray for those whose dreams have been destroyed,
who no longer have the heart to look forward,
who have lost their vision for the future.
So many people, known and unknown,
whose happiness and hopes have been destroyed by tragedy,
whose faith in loved ones has been betrayed,
who face poverty, unemployment, homelessness,
disease, starvation – even death – their trust in you
having been tested beyond the limit.
God of hope, light a new flame in their hearts.
Amen
2nd February
Loving God, we pray for all who plod wearily through life
with no sense of purpose – those who feel the future is empty,
bereft of promise, and those who only live for today,
fearful of tomorrow. God of hope, light a new flame in their hearts.
Amen
3rd February
Loving God, touch our hearts, we pray, stir our imagination,
rekindle our faith, renew our hope.
And so may new dreams and new visions be born in our lives.
God of hope, light a new flame in their hearts.
Amen
4th February
Father God, hear our prayer for children everywhere.
Provide for and protect, grant them health, wisdom, peace, and joy.
Guide their footsteps, and equip them for their journey through life,
wherever it may lead. Be with those who love them,
and those whom they will love in turn,
that together they will taste your goodness and celebrate the life you offer in all its fullness, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
5th February
Father God, thank you for grandparents and all they do.
Thank you for the many ways they give a helping hand –
the practical support they offer, the time they give up,
he skills they use, the things they make possible.
Helper of all, hear our prayer
6th February
Lord Jesus Christ, we pray, week in, week out,
that your kingdom will come and your will be done.
It’s easy to say the words, far harder to mean them,
for they are concerned finally not jut with you but with us.
Help us to understand that your kingdom is not just in the future,
but that begins within us, hear and now,
and so help us to recognise our role in bringing it nearer,
through the love we show, the care we display and the service we offer.
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Amen
7th February
So now we pray for our world and for an end to all that frustrates your purpose. We think of those in countries racked by conflict, famine, disease and poverty; for those who face repression and discrimination, persecuted for what they believe or for who they are; and of those who are victims of crime, violence and war.
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Amen
8th February
We pray for the unemployed and homeless,
the sick and suffering, the lonely and unloved,
the disabled and disadvantaged.
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Amen
9th February
We pray for those who work to build a more just and loving world,
all who strive to bring help and healing to those in need –
pastors, preachers, missionaries and evangelists, doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, counsellors.
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Amen
10th February
We think, too, of aid agencies, pressure groups, charities, churches, politicians, police, and members of the armed forces – these and so many more who, in different ways, contribute to the fulfilment of your purpose.
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Amen
11th February
Lord Jesus Christ, we look forward to that day when you will rule in splendour, when you will establish justice between the nations and there will be an end to sorrow, suffering, darkness, and death.
Until then, help us to commit ourselves to your service and to work for your glory, so that we may honestly say and truly mean;
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Amen
12th February
Father, we thank you for the world that you have made.
We praise you that you not only made the world, but also made us.
We thank you for all the colours and shapes we can see.
We praise you for the beautiful sounds we can hear.
We thank you for the eyes to see and ears to hear.
We praise you for minds to think and for hearts to be thankful.
We thank you for Jesus and for his life, death and resurrection.
We praise you for wanting to make our lives new.
Amen
13th February
Father, we take your good gifts for granted;
our selfishness spoils your world;
what we say and do spoils our friendships;
how we live spoils our friendship with you.
Father, we have come to say that we are sorry;
we have come to ask your forgiveness.
We ask this in Jesus’ name
Amen
14th February
Our Lord in heaven, we thank you for the gift of love.
We pray that You would use us to share Your love with others.
May this world know real love.
We offer our hearts to the people we love,
knowing that Your Spirit fills their souls.
Amen
15th February
Lord, we are amazed when we discover just how much you love us.
We are thankful that you want to make our lives new.
We thought you were just our Creator,
but Jesus has taught us to call you our Father.
We thought you were a long way off,
but Jesus has shown us just how near to us you are.
Amen
16th February
Lord, we thought you were just a word in the Bible,
but Jesus has shown us that you share our daily lives.
We cannot see you with our eyes or hear you with our ears,
but we see the hills and mountains,
the trees and flowers, the sea and rivers that speak to us of your care.
We see you in the love of a friend, and in the face of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
17th February
Heavenly Father, we praise you for all that you have done for us
and all that you have given us
We thank you for the courage, strength and love
with which you long to fill our lives.
We are not very strong, but we known that you are.
We are not very good, but you always do the right things.
We are not very caring, but you are full of great concern
for all your creatures.
We are not very loving, but you are love
and you showed your love to us in Jesus
Father open our hearts to your love and our lives to your grace
We ask in Jesus’ name.
Amen

20th February
We thank you for the love with which Jesus floods our hearts and lives
Forgive us that we would still rather trust in our own strength
trusting ourselves instead of trusting you.
Forgive us our foolishness and the weakness
that spoils our lives and the lives of those around us.
Forgive us that when we are lost, we do not want to be found.
Forgive us that when we are in trouble, we do not want your help.
Father open our hearts to your love and our lives to your grace
We ask in Jesus’ name.
Amen
21st February
We pray for those whose lives are filled with fear
and for those whose lives are damaged
for those overwhelmed by their sense of inadequacy and insecurity
and for those who have lost purpose in life
and their reason for living
for those facing times of temptation
and needing the strength of Christ.
May the grace of Christ be sufficient for all their needs.
Lord hear our prayer
Thanks be to God.
22nd February
We pray for those whose lives are filled with darkness and emptiness
and for this facing a time of great frustration
and unanswered questions;

and by the demands of home and work
for those struggling to cope with the needs of their family
for those coming to terms with their singleness
May the grace of Christ bring them peace
Lord hear our prayer
Thanks be to God.
23rd February
We pray for those coping with their disability
in a community designed for the fit and young,
and for those still seeking acceptance and affirmation
in a culture of prejudice and indifference;
for those excluded by their colour or their race,
by the age or their gender,
and for those whose poverty, homelessness and lack of employment
keep them locked out.
May the grace of Christ bring them hope
Lord hear our prayer
Thanks be to God.
24th February
We pray for those in positions of great responsibility
and for those who are concerned for others;
for leaders of nations and governments
for leaders in industry and unions
for those who work in the media
and for those who affect the thoughts and actions of millions;
for parents concerned for their children and their future
and for those who long to lead them to Christ.
May the grace of Christ guide and bless them
Lord hear our prayer
Thanks be to God.
25th February
We pray for those whose lives have been ruined by addiction
and for those who have lost their homes and possessions
through their own foolishness
or through some disaster;
for those whose lives are in danger through overeating
and for those who are starving to death;
for those for whom the bottom has dropped out of their world
May the grace of Christ continue to hold them.
Lord hear our prayer
Thanks be to God.
26th February
We pray for those who are sick or in hospital
and for those who will never recover;
for those who are dying and those who wait with them
for those who are depressed, anxious or afraid

and no one with whom to share them with
May the grace of Christ give them strength
Lord hear our prayer
Thanks be to God.
27th February
We pray for ourselves and the pressures and trials we face
in our commitment to Christ
We ask for courage in times when our integrity is challenged
and our faithfulness is put to the test;
in times when we are called to compromise
or times when we deny we believes,
and when we feel we are standing alone
May the grace of Christ help us to stand
Lord hear our prayer
Thanks be to God.
28th February
Lord, you are the source of all life, hope and truth.
You are the source of all that is good and right and of value.
You are the source of peace, new life and love
and we have come to worship you.
Amen
29th February
Lord, we have come to listen to you
and to share with you all that is on our hearts and minds.
We have come to praise you and to give you thanks.
We have come because you are worthy and because of our need.
We have come because you are here
and because you have promised
to go with us when we leave.
Fill us with your love and empower us with your Spirit
that we may worship you in Christ.
Amen.
